Gold and XAUUSD
AI gold chart analysis: a read, not a signal.
Bullynx gives you a read of your gold chart, not a signal: upload a screenshot of XAUUSD or a gold futures chart from MT4, MT5 or TradingView, and get the trend, the levels in dollars per ounce, a bullish and a bearish scenario, and the price where the read stops being true.

Levels and scenarios on XAUUSD
Every chart gets the same four parts in the same order. On gold, what changes is the size of the moves: intraday ranges are wide next to a major currency pair, so the distance between a level and its invalidation is wide too. The category overview, with the same read on stocks, crypto and forex, is on AI chart analysis for trading.
- The trend, on the timeframe you captured
- A daily XAUUSD chart and a 15-minute one answer different questions. The read describes the swing structure in the image, higher highs and higher lows, lower ones, or a range, and names the symbol and timeframe when they are in the legend.
- Levels in dollars per ounce
- Support and resistance come back as prices on your axis, such as a prior session high or the floor of a range, each marked strong, moderate or weak. On gold, daily and weekly levels tend to be respected again and again, so a wide capture is worth more than a tight one.
- Two weighted scenarios
- A bullish and a bearish case, each with the structure that would carry it and its own invalidation. Each carries a percentage; the two add up to 100 and neither goes above 90.
- The invalidation
- The price at which the structure the read describes stops being true, written as an event, such as a close beyond a level on your timeframe. On gold it often sits further from the entry than habit from forex suggests. The section below says why.
A read of your gold chart, not a signal
Many searches for XAUUSD and AI are looking for signals, predictions or a bot. Bullynx is none of those. The difference matters before you pay for either:
| A signal | A Bullynx read | |
|---|---|---|
| Starts from | Someone else's chart and someone else's timing | The screenshot you upload, on the timeframe you chose |
| Arrives | Pushed to you, usually with an expiry | Once, when you ask, describing the moment you captured |
| Contains | An entry, a stop and a target to copy | A bias with a conviction score, the levels, two weighted scenarios, an entry zone, stop and targets as an educational scenario, and the reason for each |
| Afterwards | Updates and new alerts | Nothing: it does not watch the market or send alerts |
| Execution | Sometimes copied into an account automatically | Never: no broker connection, no orders |
The read does commit to a side: every read picks long or short and says how strongly. It does so in writing, with the reason and the price that would prove it wrong, so you can check it on your own chart instead of following it.
Why gold needs a wider invalidation
Gold often pokes through a prior session high or low and turns back, especially around the London open and US data. A stop parked a dollar or two beyond a visible level sits inside that noise and is among the first to go.
The read does not pad its invalidation for gold, and it does not shrink it either. It puts the invalidation where the structure it describes breaks, usually beyond a swing, on the timeframe you captured. On XAUUSD that price is often further from the entry than on a currency pair, and that is the point: a stop closer than the invalidation is a stop inside the idea.
Two honest ways to live with the distance. Size down, so the wider stop risks the same amount, with the position size calculator. Or use a closer version of the setup: every read also gives scalp, intraday and swing versions, each with its own entry zone, stop and targets tied to smaller or larger structure. A note with the upload, such as “intraday trader, London session”, tells the main setup which scale of structure to work from.
Dollars, points and pips on gold
Turning a gold read into a position size is where most mistakes happen, because the units are not standard:
- Dollars per ounce
- XAUUSD is the price in US dollars of one troy ounce of gold. The read quotes levels in that unit, so the cleanest way to measure a stop is in dollars: entry minus invalidation.
- Pips and points vary by broker
- There is no single pip on gold. Most platforms quote it to two decimals and call 0.01 a point or a pip; others use 0.1 or a full dollar. Check your contract specification before you convert a distance.
- Lot size varies too
- One standard lot of XAUUSD is commonly 100 ounces, which makes a 1 dollar move worth 100 dollars per lot, but brokers differ. A COMEX gold futures contract is 100 troy ounces by specification.
Measure the stop in dollars, multiply by the ounces in your position, and you have the risk. The lot size calculator does the rest once you know your broker’s contract size.
Spot XAUUSD or COMEX gold futures: say which one
XAUUSD is a spot quote from the over-the-counter market, and your broker’s feed is its own version of it. COMEX gold futures, part of CME Group, are exchange-traded contracts of 100 troy ounces with delivery months. The two track each other closely but trade at different prices, and a continuous futures chart can jump at each rollover.
The read only knows which one it is looking at from the legend. Keep the symbol in the capture (XAUUSD, GC1! on TradingView, or your broker’s gold CFD name), and a level from one chart stays an approximation on the other.
London, New York and the US data calendar
Gold is usually quiet in Asian hours, expands at the London open, and prints its widest candles in the London and New York overlap and on scheduled US data: CPI, payrolls and Fed decisions. None of that is in a screenshot unless the time axis is legible.
Check the calendar yourself before an intraday read, and put the session and the next release in the note with the upload. What each session does to an XAUUSD chart, and why gold blends a gold move with a dollar move, is covered in XAUUSD chart analysis. Gold traded in MT4 or MT5 next to currency pairs? The pip-based workflow for the pairs is on AI forex chart analysis.
What it cannot see on a gold chart
Six limits, stated plainly. Gold is priced by rates and the dollar, and a chart only shows what they have already done.
- See real interest rates, the dollar index or Fed expectations, the forces that move gold most, unless you chart them and send them as a separate capture
- Know the US data calendar from the chart. CPI, payrolls and Fed decisions produce the widest gold candles, and the date is not in the image
- Tell spot XAUUSD from a futures contract when the legend is cropped, or see a futures rollover in the series
- Know your broker spread, which widens around data releases
- Connect to MetaTrader or any broker, see your positions, or place an order
- Send alerts, follow the market after the read, or tell you whether to enter

Frequently asked questions
- Does Bullynx give XAUUSD signals?
- No. Bullynx sends no signals, no alerts and no live entries, and it never places a trade. You upload a gold chart and get one written read of it: a long or short bias with a conviction score, the levels, a bullish and a bearish scenario with their weights, an entry zone, stop and targets framed as an educational scenario, and the invalidation. It describes the moment you captured and does not watch the market afterwards.
- Can AI predict the gold price?
- No. A chart shows where gold has traded and which levels mattered, not where real rates, the dollar or the next US data release will take it. What an AI read can do is describe the structure, name the levels on either side of price, and say in advance which price would prove the read wrong.
- Is AI gold chart analysis free on Bullynx?
- No. Bullynx has no free plan and no free trial: you upload the chart, pay, and the read runs on it. One analysis is $9.99, a one-time payment for the full read of one chart, without Lynx chat. Monthly is $39 a month for 50 chart analyses a month and Lynx chat, cancel anytime. Lifetime is $149 once for the same limits for life, 50 chart analyses every month and Lynx chat, with no subscription.
- Does it work with MT4 and MT5 gold charts?
- Yes. Export the chart with File, then Save As Picture, and upload the image. The read works on any platform that draws the chart, TradingView and broker apps included, and Bullynx never connects to MetaTrader or to your broker.
- Which timeframe should I screenshot for gold?
- Two, read from the top down. A daily chart covering a few months shows the levels gold keeps returning to; a 1-hour or 15-minute chart shows the session you are about to trade. Gold moves a lot inside a single 1-minute candle, so the lowest timeframes carry more noise than information.
- Does it read gold futures as well as XAUUSD?
- Yes, any gold chart you can screenshot: spot XAUUSD, COMEX gold futures or a gold CFD. They track each other closely but trade at different prices, so keep the symbol in the legend, and say in the note if the futures chart is a continuous contract that rolls.
