ChartDetector AI Review: Pricing, Accuracy, Alternatives

Antoine DunoOctober 22, 202611 min read

ChartDetector AI (chartdetector.ai) is a real, working web app that writes an AI market report from a ticker or a chart link, with a crypto-only free plan and Pro at $99 a year (checked October 22, 2026). It is legitimate in the sense that it has an operator, terms and a working checkout. It publishes no accuracy figure, has one Trustpilot review, and shares its name with an unrelated iPhone app, which is the first thing to check before you pay anyone.

Disclosure. I founded Bullynx, which competes with ChartDetector for some of the same readers. Bullynx is our product. This review relies on chartdetector.ai's homepage, pricing page, FAQ, terms and portfolio page, its Trustpilot profile and the App Store, all read on October 22, 2026. We did not buy a ChartDetector plan, we did not run its analysis, and we give it no score, because a score without a test would be invented.

Key takeaway

ChartDetector reads market data, not your screenshot: you paste a ticker, a contract address or a chart URL from TradingView, DEX Screener or Yahoo Finance, and it pulls live prices from CoinGecko, MarketStack and Financial Modeling Prep. The free plan is crypto only. Pro costs $99 a year on the pricing page, while the FAQ still says $9.99 a month. The "ChartDetector AI" app on the App Store is a different company.

What ChartDetector AI is

ChartDetector.ai calls itself an "AI-Powered Trading Decision Intelligence" platform. According to its FAQ, the process has three steps: you provide a chart URL or a symbol, the AI fetches live market data and analyzes "chart patterns, technical indicators, and market sentiment," and you receive a report "available in both standard and simplified versions."

The input is the key difference from screenshot readers. The FAQ recommends the ticker, crypto ID or contract address route "for more accurate analysis," because it feeds the model structured data from CoinGecko (crypto), GeckoTerminal (DEX tokens), MarketStack (stocks) and Financial Modeling Prep (commodities). A chart URL is the fallback: the AI then "will analyze the chart visually." The homepage input reads "Paste a chart url, ticker, or contract address." One FAQ answer mentions uploading charts, but the how-it-works answer lists only links and symbols, so do not count on an image upload until you see the field.

Around the analysis, the site lists a market scanner, a watchlist, a risk suite called RiskConfirm (position size calculator, strategy checklist, trade journal), correlation analysis, strategy backtesting, PDF export and an "Explain Like I'm 12" mode. A separate Portfolio Intelligence page offers to sync holdings through CoinStats, Interactive Brokers Flex or a crypto wallet address, and an Execution Center that exports trade baskets; the page says "Nothing executes without your explicit approval."

The terms, last updated February 2026, name the operator as Warren AI Services, Zurich, Switzerland, and apply Swiss law. The site footer adds that ChartDetector "does not provide investment advice, trade signals, or execution services."

It is not Chart Analyzer AI (chartanalyzerai.com), a screenshot pattern reader with a different operator and different plans. If you searched for one and landed on the other, our Chart Analyzer AI review covers that product.

ChartDetector AI pricing (checked October 22, 2026)

PlanPrice on chartdetector.ai/pricingWhat the page lists
Free$0"5 Analyses per day (10 per month)," Quick Glance and In-Depth depths, crypto analysis only, branded PDF export, last 10 analyses
Pro$99.00/yearUnlimited AI analyses, all depths including "Sniper/Pro," forex and commodities, AI market scanner, RiskConfirm, unlimited history and watchlist, priority support
EnterpriseFrom $999/year (5-10 users)$2,999/year for 11-25 users, $5,999/year for 26-50, sales quote above 50

Four details matter more than the table:

  1. Two Pro prices. The pricing page shows only the yearly $99.00. The FAQ answer "What's the difference between Free and Pro?" still describes "Pro Plan ($9.99/month)." Read the amount and the billing period on the Stripe checkout before you confirm.
  2. The free cap contradicts itself. Five a day and ten a month cannot both be the limit. The free plan is also crypto only: stocks, ETFs, forex and commodities are Pro features.
  3. No refund promise. The terms say "Refunds are subject to platform policies and applicable law," that subscriptions renew automatically, and that cancellation "must occur before renewal date." The pricing page says "Cancel anytime." Neither page promises a refund window.
  4. Payment by card or crypto. Checkout runs through Stripe or a crypto option. A promo-code box offers logged-in users free Pro access with a code, and Pro users earn points worth $1 off per 10,000.

What a ChartDetector read contains

The FAQ describes three depths. Quick Glance (about 30 seconds) gives "basic chart patterns and trend direction," key support and resistance and an indicator overview. In-Depth (about 60 seconds) adds "market sentiment and news analysis" and "risk management and strategy suggestions." Sniper, the Pro-only level (about 90 seconds), adds on-chain analysis for crypto or fundamentals for stocks, macro context and correlations.

The risk section names a stop-loss level, several take-profit levels "based on resistance levels, Fibonacci targets, and technical patterns," and a risk assessment. Another FAQ answer says the output includes "AI predictions with confidence levels." The strategy FAQ tells users to "always implement the suggested stop-loss and take-profit levels," which sits awkwardly next to the site's statement that it provides no trade signals.

Accuracy. ChartDetector publishes no accuracy figure, no test set and no track record. Its FAQ answer on accuracy opens with "No AI or trader is 100% accurate" and describes the output as "structured analysis" and "multiple potential outcomes, not single predictions." That is a more careful posture than a headline percentage. The homepage testimonials, such as "My profitability has noticeably improved," are unverifiable individual statements. We did not run the tool, so we cannot tell you how good its levels are; the evaluation method we use for chart readers lists the tests to run on its free plan before paying.

One structural point is checkable without a test. Because ChartDetector analyzes its own data feed for a symbol, its read reflects the asset, not the chart on your screen: your timeframe choice, your drawn levels and your platform's indicator settings are not part of the input unless the chart URL carries them. Live data is an advantage for current prices. It is a limit if what you want checked is your own marked-up chart.

ChartDetector AI app: not the same company

The app called "ChartDetector AI" on the App Store is not chartdetector.ai. As checked on October 22, 2026:

PriceFree (crypto) or Pro $99/yearFree download; in-app subscriptions listed from $8.99 a week to $49.99 a year

chartdetector.ai's footer says it "is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or associated with any other apps, companies, or services using similar names." The app's site claims "150,000+ traders"; that is the vendor's own figure. At least one AI-tool directory describes the two as a single product, which is why reviews and ratings for "Chart Detector" are hard to attribute. The App Store also lists other apps with "Chart Detector" in the name from unrelated developers. Check the developer name before you subscribe.

ChartDetector AI on Trustpilot and Reddit

Trustpilot. The chartdetector.ai profile is unclaimed and holds one review as of October 22, 2026: a one-star review from Germany dated May 2, 2026, titled "Enttäuschend und das Geld nicht wert" ("disappointing and not worth the money"). The reviewer says no trial was offered, that they paid €49.99, and that ChatGPT gave more precise answers. The €49.99 figure does not match any price on chartdetector.ai's pricing page; it does match the yearly price listed for the separate App Store app. We cannot tell which product the reviewer paid for. The displayed TrustScore of 3.2 rests on that single review, so it tells you nothing either way.

Reddit. A search on October 22, 2026 found no Reddit thread discussing chartdetector.ai. The honest summary is that there are almost no public user reviews of this product yet. That is common for a small tool, and it means your own free-plan test is the only evidence you will have.

Is ChartDetector AI legit?

Yes, as a business. It has a named operator and jurisdiction, published plans, a working Stripe checkout, a support address (support@chartdetector.ai), and disclaimers that match what it is: an analysis tool that does not execute trades or give advice. Its own copy makes no return promise, although one homepage testimonial credits it with improved profitability.

What "legit" does not cover:

  • No measured accuracy. No published test, sample or track record, so no claim about how good the levels are can be checked.
  • Pricing inconsistency. $99 a year on the pricing page and $9.99 a month in the FAQ.
  • No stated refund window. Refunds are left to "platform policies and applicable law."
  • Broker and wallet sync. The Portfolio Intelligence page asks for an IBKR Flex token or wallet address for its portfolio features. The FAQ says keys are stored encrypted. Connecting is optional; the chart analysis does not require it.
  • Name confusion. The most common way to lose money here is paying the wrong "ChartDetector."

Run the free plan on a crypto chart you already know the outcome of before you pay, as Investor.gov advises for any product that markets AI to investors (investor alert).

ChartDetector AI alternatives

Pick by the input you actually have and the answer you want back. Prices for the other tools come from our reviews, where they were checked on the vendors' sites on October 15, 2026.

Choose ChartDetector over Bullynx if you trade crypto and want live data and on-chain context for a symbol, or if price is the constraint: its $0 crypto plan costs nothing, and $99 a year is less than three months of our Monthly plan.

Choose a screenshot reader if the chart you want checked is your own: an MT4 or MT5 window, a broker app, or a TradingView layout with your levels drawn. Bullynx reads the screenshot as you took it and returns the trend, support and resistance zones, a bullish and a bearish scenario and the invalidation, in writing. It does not use live data, name chart patterns, give signals or connect to any broker. The prices are $9.99 for one analysis (no chat), $39 a month for 50 analyses with the Lynx chat, or $149 once for Lifetime; only the first Monthly charge is refundable, within 14 days. Bullynx is our product, so test it with the same skepticism. The chart screenshot analyzer page shows a real example, and best AI tools for chart screenshots compares nine readers. Our ChartGuru review and SnapPChart review cover two of the tools above in depth.

Verdict

ChartDetector.ai is a legitimate, low-cost market-report tool with a real free plan for crypto and an inexpensive yearly Pro tier. Its strengths are live data, on-chain context and a careful accuracy statement. Its weak points are an unproven read, two different Pro prices on its own site, no stated refund window, and almost no public reviews.

If your question is "what does the market data say about this coin," try its free plan first. If your question is "what does this chart I am looking at say," you need a tool that reads your screenshot, and that is a different product category.

Educational only. Not financial advice. DYOR. ChartDetector, Bullynx and every other AI tool can produce incorrect levels and scenarios.

Frequently asked questions

Is ChartDetector AI legit?
ChartDetector.ai is a working web product with published plans, Stripe checkout, terms that name an operator (Warren AI Services, Zurich, Switzerland, under Swiss law) and a disclaimer that it gives no investment advice or trade signals. That makes it a real service, not a scam site. It does not make its analysis accurate: no accuracy figure or test is published, and as of October 22, 2026 there was one public Trustpilot review and no Reddit discussion we could find.
How much does ChartDetector AI cost?
As checked on October 22, 2026, chartdetector.ai's pricing page lists a Free plan (crypto analysis only, published as 5 analyses per day and 10 per month), Pro at $99.00 a year with unlimited analyses, and Enterprise from $999 a year for 5 to 10 users. The same site's FAQ still describes Pro as $9.99 a month, so confirm the amount and billing period at checkout.
Is ChartDetector AI free?
Partly. chartdetector.ai has a $0 plan and says basic use needs no account, but that plan covers crypto only; stocks, ETFs, forex and commodities, the market scanner and the deepest analysis level need Pro. The ChartDetector AI iPhone app is a different product whose App Store listing says a subscription is required for full functionality.
Is there a ChartDetector AI app?
chartdetector.ai describes only a web app. The App Store app called ChartDetector AI is published by KI Koehler International Ltd., a separate company whose site is chartdetectorai.com, and it sells weekly, monthly, six-month and yearly subscriptions. chartdetector.ai states it is not affiliated with apps using similar names, so check the developer before you pay.
What does Reddit say about ChartDetector AI?
Very little. A search on October 22, 2026 found no Reddit thread that discusses chartdetector.ai. Treat any Reddit comment you do find with care, because at least three different products use the Chart Detector name and posts rarely say which one they mean.
