ChartingLens Review 2026: Charts, AI Signals, and Pricing

ChartingLens is a charting platform first and an AI tool second. It combines live charts, drawing tools, technical indicators, a screener, alerts, backtesting, smart-money data, and an AI assistant. Its permanent Free tier is useful for charting, while Screenshot Chart AI and the complete AI toolkit start on Premium at $14.99 per month.
Disclosure. I founded Bullynx, which competes with ChartingLens for some AI-research use cases. Bullynx is not a full charting terminal. This review uses ChartingLens's official pricing, FAQ, privacy, and changelog pages and treats its signal-performance language as vendor claims rather than independently verified results.
Key takeaway
Choose ChartingLens when you want to replace or supplement a charting subscription with AI, backtesting, alerts, screeners, and investor data in one workspace. Choose a dedicated screenshot reader when you already like your charting platform and only need a second opinion. The important pricing detail is that Free does not include Screenshot Chart AI: that starts at $14.99 per month.
ChartingLens plans at a glance
| Plan | Price | AI allowance | Important limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2 AI credits/day on the free model | 3 indicators/chart, 3 alerts, 1 watchlist, 1 layout; no Screenshot Chart AI |
| Premium | $14.99/month or $149/year | 20 AI credits/day | 20 alerts, 10 watchlists, 10 layouts; complete paid toolkit |
| Pro | $29.99/month or $299/year | Unlimited published usage | Same toolkit as Premium with caps lifted |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 5+ seats, centralized billing, optional SSO/API/support terms |
Annual billing saves roughly 17% according to the pricing page. Twelve Premium months cost $179.88 versus $149 yearly; twelve Pro months cost $359.88 versus $299 yearly. The price difference between Premium and Pro buys capacity, not a different catalog of core features.
That matters because many users do not need unlimited anything. If 20 AI credits, 20 alerts, and 10 saved layouts cover your routine, Premium is the rational paid tier. Pro fits a power user who can identify a cap they actually hit.
What the Free plan includes — and excludes
The Free tier is not a timed trial. ChartingLens says it is free forever without a card. Published allowances include all chart types and drawing tools, real-time stocks and crypto, forex and spot metals, cloud sync, insider data, a stock screener with restricted results, three indicators per chart, three active alerts, and two AI credits per day.
Those AI credits are shared units. The pricing table says an AI Chat question, AI backtest run, fresh Buy Signals scan, or custom AI indicator generation can consume a credit. Two credits therefore do not necessarily mean two screenshot reads, and the table explicitly lists Screenshot Chart AI as unavailable on Free.
This is the distinction a buyer can miss after reading “AI-powered platform, free to start.” The free product is a real charting workspace with limited AI access. The screenshot-reading feature belongs to Premium and Pro.
For a comparison measured in actual chart reads rather than the word “free,” see AI chart analyzer pricing and best free AI trading tools.
The paid AI and charting toolkit
Premium and Pro add the same broad group of capabilities. The official table includes a higher-quality AI assistant with web search and current news context, screenshot analysis, Pine Script conversion, plain-English indicator creation, AI strategy backtesting, daily Buy Signals, CL Score reveals, pattern recognition, indicator and trendline alerts, hedge-fund holdings, bar replay, volume profile, custom timeframes, multi-window mode, and up to three charts per layout.
This breadth is the product's strongest argument. A trader can move from an idea to a chart, test a rule in plain English, set an alert, practice it in replay, and monitor related filings without switching tools. A standalone screenshot reader cannot compete on that workflow because it is not trying to.
The natural-language backtester deserves a careful reading. Translating a rule into a backtest reduces coding friction, but it does not fix overfitting, data quality, slippage, survivorship bias, or the temptation to keep changing parameters until the past looks good. The feature can make testing easier; it cannot make a weak methodology valid. Our AI backtesting guide covers those failure modes.
ChartingLens also advertises 25 daily AI Buy Signals and a proprietary CL Score. Those are useful discovery interfaces only if the methodology and forward record match your standards. The site publishes a track-record surface, but vendor-selected signals are not equivalent to an independent audited strategy. Treat them as candidates to research, not instructions.
What ChartingLens does well
The free charting tier is substantial. Three indicators, drawing tools, supported real-time markets, cloud sync, and a screener form a usable research surface rather than a locked demo.
Pricing is legible. The plan table exposes limits instead of hiding them behind “contact sales.” The difference between Premium and Pro is easy to understand.
The feature set connects research steps. Charting, screening, alerts, backtesting, replay, filings, and AI live in the same application. That can save more time than improving any one generated paragraph.
The changelog is unusually active and specific. Dated releases describe what changed in backtesting, international markets, alerts, custom indicators, and chart controls. A public changelog helps a buyer verify that the product is maintained.
The product acknowledges different time horizons. Its charts and analysis are marketed to day, swing, and long-term users rather than pretending one signal format fits every horizon.
Limits and questions to test
It is a broad platform with a learning curve. The buyer who wants to upload one picture and leave will encounter more surface area than necessary. Breadth creates configuration decisions and makes output quality only one part of the evaluation.
AI credits mix unlike actions. On Premium, 20 credits per day may be generous or restrictive depending on whether chat, scans, backtests, and custom indicators all compete for them in practice. Track a normal week before considering Pro.
“Real time” depends on market and data rights. The site lists stocks across 70+ exchanges plus crypto, forex, metals, and futures, with pre/post-market and intraday history claims. Verify the exact venue, delay, and timeframe you trade rather than generalizing from the coverage headline.
Signal claims need independent evaluation. “Proven AI results,” scores, and featured winners are controlled by the vendor. Ask whether every signal is time-stamped, whether losses remain visible, what execution assumption is used, and whether the displayed period is representative.
The mobile apps were still described as beta on the homepage. If mobile is central to your workflow, test the current availability rather than assuming the web feature set has reached iOS and Android unchanged.
Refund language is discretionary. The FAQ says requests are handled case by case and asks dissatisfied buyers to make contact within seven days. That is not the same as an unconditional published refund right.
Who it fits and who should skip it
ChartingLens fits a trader who:
- wants charting, screeners, alerts, replay, and AI in one subscription;
- uses several asset classes or international exchanges;
- wants to create or translate indicators without writing code;
- can work within 20 daily AI credits on Premium;
- is willing to verify signal and backtest outputs independently.
It fits poorly if you already have a charting platform you love and only need a concise read of one screenshot. It also fits poorly if you want broker execution, a passive guaranteed signal service, or an audited strategy record. Nothing on the public pages removes the need to control position size and execution yourself.

Decision: ChartingLens versus Bullynx
Choose ChartingLens if the job begins with creating and monitoring live charts. Its chart types, drawings, screeners, alerts, bar replay, and backtests make it the more complete charting workspace. At $14.99, Premium is also cheaper than many dedicated AI subscriptions.
Choose Bullynx if the job begins after the chart already exists and you want the read connected to follow-up conversation and portfolio context. Bullynx is our product, and it does not replace a charting terminal. Verify its narrower promise on the AI chart analysis page.
The two can also complement each other: create and monitor the chart in ChartingLens, then use a separate copilot if you prefer a different analysis and portfolio workflow. Paying for both only makes sense when each replaces a real step, not when the second tool repeats the first tool's AI summary.
Verdict
ChartingLens offers more than its low entry price suggests. The Free plan is a genuine charting product, Premium adds a wide AI and research toolkit for $14.99 per month, and Pro removes caps for $29.99. Its best use case is consolidation: one workspace instead of separate charting, screening, alert, replay, and AI subscriptions.
The limits follow from the same breadth. Two free AI credits do not include the paid screenshot feature, shared credit caps require observation, and signal or backtest marketing is not independent evidence. Start on Free to judge chart quality and workflow. Move to Premium when one paid capability solves a repeated problem. Choose Pro only after a published Premium cap interrupts real work.
